Alex Trikolas resigns as President

Alex Trikolas resigns as President:
The Collingwood City Football Club would like to thank Alex for the enormous contribution he has made to our club over a span of 2 decades. Clubs survive and grow on this type of dedication, love and hard work.
Alex started as a goal keeper and has played over 300 games for the club. He won a Best and Fairest in the Seniors, the only goal keeper in the clubs history to do so. Later in his playing career he moved to the position of centre forward for the reserves and won the top goal scorer in 2 consecutive years before moving back to goal keeping.
He has had 2 stints as President and Treasurer of the club with a total of over 15 years in these positions.
He took over the presidency again, around 6 years ago and effectively saved the club and its history when the current president wanted to amalgamate the club with South Yarra. Alex stepped up and he ran the club as a seniors only division until 2 years ago when Rick Wilson and Sarah Iacono asked if he would like to start a junior division. Alex happily welcomed them to the club and supported their plans.
Over the past 2 years he has been involved in the growth of our vibrant community club that will have over 300 juniors in 2015.
His knowledge, support and expertise will be retained by the club as he has agreed to remain on the committee.
Many, many thanks Alex
