In case you missed it, this past Saturday your CCFC was highlighted as the Round 9 Hyundai A-League's Goals for Grassroots winner!
The Club would like to take the time to thank not only the Hyundai A-League for this, but also representatives from Melbourne City FC who spent time with the kids before the match along with giving out tickets to the game. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with your club in the years to come! The club would also like to thank the Goals for Grassroots campaign, our youth player Josh, who was the featured player on the video broadcast in the stadium, and of course the parents who ferried players to the shoot and the grounds on the day!
While we knew it would not be a goal haul after Melbourne City FC's win against Sydney FC in Tuesday's FFA Cup Final, we were fortunate to know that we would always come away with at least $1000! In the end, with a goal from Nicolas Colazo, we took away a solid $2000 on the night as MCFC took a point away from the contest against the Brisbane Roar. The funds will be used at the club to obtain new equipment for practices, additional funding for our All Abilities team, and we are looking at new nets for our main ground as we can sense the current ones are going to get burned out with the amazing youth talent we have coming up to our Senior side in the coming years!
