Welcome home CCFC!
Despite the Burnley Cricket Club not removing everything the Wednesday before our game, we still managed to get the clubhouse looking proper and the canteen up and running! A big thanks goes to Coach Bates who was the driving force there.
Our Reserves played a back and forth goal scoring game with Monbulk Rangers SC, but came out on top with the loan goal in the second half to put us on top and secure three points.
The Seniors started off well with Marc Gavigan once again putting himself on the score sheet for the second game running. He would then turn around a commit a foul in our box not more than a minute later to give a penalty to the visitors who promptly tied the game at 1-1. Michael Swinnerton put is back in the lead, but again, Monbulk would tie just before halftime. We would turn it on in the second half with goals from Adam Gallo and last year's Golden Boot winner Jake Buckley to win three points at home.
