We returned home to Kevin Bartlett Reserves this weekend in a hybrid footballing weekend, cut short so we could spend time with our mothers! Except for the UK contingent, because their Mother's Day is earlier in the year. But We have it on good authority they still sent their mothers' love.
The Reserves opened up the scoring and never looked back! New goalkeeper David Herman earned his first clean sheet! Goals came flying in from Josh Kweifio-Okai who bagged four, newcomer Josh Gerosa stamped his name into our club with a brace, while Samuel Au and Tom Snaith each with individual efforts.
Our seniors got things going with a goal from Mike Maddocks in the first half, and Batu Cimen in the second to tie up the day. A flurry of effort at the end almost resulted in a win for your Cityzens, but it wasn't to be.
We are sitting fifth on the table with our next match away against Dingley Stars FC.
