The seniors and reserves made the trip to Dingley Village to take on Dingley Stars FC, who we had previously encountered two years ago as a pre-season friendly. But all that nicety was forgotten.
The Reserves took to the pitch, with even Coach Colin getting a bit of a run out! Graeme Donaldson opened up scoring for us with an amazing shot. Tommy Kent would step up to the penalty spot and seal a 2-1 win for us.
The Seniors picked up where the Reserves had left off, pressing hard and high. Batu Cimen scored a volley against his former club, and the goals seemed to pile on from there. Dave Kilcommons had a shot/cross go in, and Dan Quinn scored what can only be referred to as a Dan Quinn chip goal, putting his shot across the Dingley keeper. Josh Kweifio-Okai came on for Quinn and kept up the pressure, scoring a goal from play and winning a penalty in the box which he slotted home for a 5-1 win.
Our Sunday 6s are back to their winning ways, but sadly it would be due to Beaumaris SC having to forfeit, so they are credited with a 3-0 victory in place of a full 90 minutes.
The Sunday 7s were unlucky to see a 2-2 draw against Swinburne Thirds with shots from Kris Clements and Drew Dickson rattling the crossbars. Captain Jesse Cartwright and Chris Hallett provided the goals.
