The Reserves took the lead in the first half through newcomer Graham Evans (no relation to Assistant Head Coach Ross Evans) before Brighton SC tied it up in the second half. Chris Bennett, recovering from an early injury in pre-season showed his resilience in scoring the winner for us.
The Seniors would also lead in the first half as Chris Thorogood found the back of the net. Brighton countered twice in the second half before Dan Quinn tied the score late to retain a point at home.
Our Sunday 6s would make the trek to Montrose to take on one of our most eastern rivals. Sadly, the goal from Aleks Brkovic would be the only score on the day.
The Sunday 7s would also have a long trip ahead of them with a game against Mt. Lilydale Old Collegians. Goals scored by Ciaran McGettigan, Jesse Cartwright, and Kris Clements.
