It was a tough weekend for the Seniors and Reserves, with 17 players away across the squads!
The reserves went up after an early goal against Knox City FC. Batu Cimen would score to level the squads before a corner kick delivered by Luke Pettican would be punched into the net by the opposing goalie. The referee would credit Pettican with the goal. Sadly the second half meant players being rested for the Seniors and Knox City would score four to put the match out of reach.
The Seniors were looking solid in the first half, but two goals before the first half whistle sent us to the rooms on a sour note. Batu Cimen would make the most of his second half substitution with two incredible shots, and senior debutante Jamie Shek was nearly through on goal as well, but another pair of goals fro the hosts sealed their victory.
Elsewhere, the Sunday 6s faced off against their former club, Old Scotch, and reminded them why they should not have let them go, handing out a 4-1 victory, with goals from Graham Rawson, Aleks Brkovic, Luke Katic and Baylor Shoenberger-Smith.
The Sunday 7s were too depleted to put up a fair fight against Dandenong, resulting in a 3-0 loss.
