For our final match of the season the club travelled down to Dingley to face off against second from the bottom Dingley Stars FC who had only pride to play for as they were looking at certain relegation, unable to catch Noble Park on points.
The Reserves took control from the start with a 5-2 win. A hat trick from Ugur Tumkaya propelled the squad, with great individual goals from Jake Buckley and Tom Snaith to cap it off. The Reserves ended the season in 3rd with a record of 14-2-6 and 44 points. And amazing run through the season and fighting for that coveted top spot, but sadly would stumble at the last hurdle. 2019 has a lot of promise.
The Seniors looked to push on ahead and get a win to end the season. First half goals from Adam Gallo and Federico Bono would be enough to defeat the hosts. We would unfortunately lose Oliver Sanderson to a second yellow card with twenty minutes to play, but the side rallied and managed to still put shots on goal, with keeper Felipe Mercado pulling off some amazing saves. The side ended the season sixth with a record of 10-3-9 and 33 points, with the bonus of Pat Makris being the league's joint top goal scorer with 15 for the season. Fewer injuries and players away means 2019 will be a major push for promotion at CCFC!
Finally we leave you with the awards photos from last night. The theme was come dressed as something that starts with your first initial, which should explain some of the choices the boys made for the night.
