Teams available for all players

Collingwood City caters for players of every age, both boys and girls, with teams in all age groups from Kinder through to Seniors.

Collingwood City boasts competitive teams in all Junior age groups, with ‘A’ level boys teams right through from U12-U18, each led by a coach holding a minimum FFA C-Licence.

Further to this, we cater to girls of all ages, now with a female program boasting over 100 players. This means that every girl at Collingwood City is able to play in a girls-only team in their age group.

We also ensure we cater for players of all abilities, with more social-minded teams available across every age group. Every player has a place at Collingwood City, and every player should enjoy playing football - a key feature of training sessions at our club.

Club philosophy and coach education

Led by FFA B-Licence accredited Technical Directors, our coaching group is unified and aligned with our philosophy and style of play right throughout the Club.

Each of our Technical Director’s have been at CCFC for more than ten years, over that time developing one of the state’s most sophisticated Junior football programs.

Our philosophy centres around player development, with a key focus to help every single player at our club become the best they can be.

Our coach education and mentor program ensure that every Collingwood City coach is aligned in their values and approach to teaching.

The Club operates with many A, B and C-Licence accredited coaches, but the coach development within the club further ensures we are able to provide the best possible atmosphere for our players to develop.

Training program

We believe that football should be fun, first and foremost. Therefore our Club philosophy and training style across all Junior teams reflect this. We operate with a game-based training program in a structured learning environment with our experienced coaches.

This means we are able to develop our players through a key focus on both their technical growth and positional understanding (as they get older), yet in realistic game-like scenarios that put them in similar situations that occur in competitive matches. This facilitates and hastens the learning process, whilst accelerating problem-solving skills and technical attributes under pressure.

The Club also offers isolated and small-group training sessions with experienced and credentialed coaches, tailored to work on specific technical areas for improvement in a player’s game.

Every single team has a dedicated club coach, right through to our Kinder, U6/7 and Miniroos (U8-U11) program. Each of these coaches is mentored through our extensive coach education program, with a key focus on coach development just as much as player development.

Whether crossing over from the NPL environment, or joining football for the first time, Collingwood City is a club that is able to provide a best-in-class development program for all Junior players and provide a competitive team for all ability levels.
