We are heading back to the field, with a return to training confirmed for Monday 1 June
Collingwood City have officially received confirmation from the City of Yarra that we are able to return to training from Monday 1 June.
The news is extremely pleasing for our entire football community, and follows Football Victoria’s Return to Training conditions also being released.
As a part of the requirements to return, all players who wish to train are required to register on the FFA PlayFootball website as well as pay the relevant Club registration fees prior to returning.
All Junior and MiniRoos Club members will have received an email outlining this process.
Please also note that all team submissions for 2020 are required by Football Victoria by 8 June. We are asking all members to confirm what you/your child would like to do, and commit to, by Monday 1 June to allow us to resubmit team entries.
Scheduling for all teams training will be released in due course.
All training will be conducted with social distancing measures in place, which means all players are to be 1.5m from each other at all times. This results in no-contact training sessions.
There are several strict guidelines that Collingwood City, Football Victoria and the City of Yarra have put in place in order to return to training. Please review and familiarise yourself and your child with the summary below before you do return:
COVID-19 Safe Training Rules
We recommend all families download the COVIDSafe app.
We ask parents to remain in cars or away from training, where possible. Please do not socialise at the training grounds (further information will be sent to under 8/9 parents).
We request players use the toilet before they arrive at the training session, so as to reduce the need to use the club facilities and avoid using public toilets.
Upon arrival, players should sanitise hands and head to their allocated training area.
Coaches will record players attending each session.
CCFC Player Rules
Sanitise hands before and after training.
Please bring your own sanitiser to use on drink breaks.
Players should arrive ready to train (please put boots and shinguards on before arriving at pitch).
Arrive and leave quickly - no socialising.
No handshakes, high 5’s or body contact.
Maintain a 1.5m distance during the training sessions between you and other players.
No sharing of equipment or communal facilities.
Do not share drink bottles (label your bottle clearly).
Practice cough and sneeze etiquette. (see attached posters)
