SENIOR MEN & WOMEN
At Collingwood City, our senior programs are the pinnacle destination of a clear player development pathway that begins in our junior programs and provides players with the opportunity to progress through the club and into senior football.
We are committed to creating an elite football environment where players are challenged, developed and supported to reach their potential, while maintaining the identity and connection that makes Collingwood City unique. Our ambition is to build senior teams that are competitive, successful and continuing to progress through the leagues of Victorian soccer, while providing an environment that attracts strong football talent from across Melbourne.
Our Senior Men and Reserve Men compete in State League 2, while our Senior Women and Reserve Women compete in State League 1, providing a strong and competitive level of football for players looking to continue their development and play at a high standard. We are ambitious about the future of both programs and are focused on building teams that compete at the top end of their respective competitions, challenge for promotion and continue to raise the standard of football at Collingwood City.
Our senior programs are closely connected to our junior pathway, giving talented young players a genuine opportunity to train, develop and ultimately earn their place in senior football. We believe this connection is central to building a successful club. Our juniors should be able to see a clear future for themselves at Collingwood City, with the opportunity to progress through the age groups, experience senior environments and ultimately represent the club at the highest level available. At the same time, our ambition to compete and progress means our senior teams must continue to attract and develop players who are capable of taking the club forward.
We want Collingwood City to be a destination for ambitious footballers. A place where talented young players can develop within a structured pathway, where established players can continue to improve and compete at a high level, and where everyone understands the standards required to be successful. Our focus on quality coaching, player development and a strong football environment is designed to create teams that are not only capable of competing today, but are continually improving and building towards the next level.
Our senior teams also play an important role in the broader club culture. We want our junior players to know our senior players, watch them play, aspire to play alongside them and feel that senior football is a natural part of their journey at Collingwood City. Friday night home games for the Men and Sunday football for the Women provide regular opportunities for our wider club community to come together, support our teams and experience senior football at our home grounds.
